The Friends of the Hearst Free Library hosted a pie social at the library on Wednesday, Oct. 14, in an effort to get more members — the club’s first membership drive in years. President of the Friends of the Library, Mary Johnston, said the drive garnered seven new members. Pies included blueberry, apple, pineapple, strawberry rhubarb and a pear tart and were baked by students at the Anaconda Job Corps and members of the Friends.
